One day a magical idea came to life with a vibrant pink and purple streamer backdrop setting the scene. We were inspired by the movie Encanto and Isabella's pink and purple floral paradise.
With that we created an Enchanted Pink & Purple Butterfly Garden Party with little touches that were nods to the wonderful film.
The Riles & Bash Enchanted Pink Streamer Backdrop was the first piece of decor that we set up. We have step by step instructions for creating a streamer backdrop that anyone can follow to make things super easy.
Once that was done, we setup our guest table for our intimate party.
We started with a pale pink table cloth and then placed a light pink cotton runner down the centre of the table. The cotton runner added a little bit of texture and dimension to the table.
For the centrepiece we added some of the pink and purple crepe paper flowers that come with the Riles & Bash Streamer Backdrop kit. We propped them up on glass pedestals to give our table a little bit of height. Since they are large paper flowers we only needed a few to make our centrepiece pop.
We also added some gold butterflies to sit on the crepe paper flowers, a few on the table, and to finish it, off a piece of ivy to run down the centre of the table.
Then it was on to our place settings. We dressed them up by using multiple layers: first with some paper plates in our color scheme of gold and purple, and then we added some cute butterfly napkins to sit on top.
Instead of using plastic cutlery we opted for bamboo.
Finally, to add a delicious touch to the settings, we had custom sugar cookies made to represent some of the fun elements from the Encanto movie. We used our own gold plates for the cookies to sit on. They matched our paper plates perfectly!
We also added some cookies down the centre of the table that the guests later got to take home with them.
The final look of the table had such a whimsical and enchanted feel to it!
We dressed up the chivari chairs with some pieces of ivy that were wrapped around the back of the chair and cascaded down the sides. It really tied the chairs into the table decor and the whole theme.
We also created a DIY project that turned out even better than we expected! The vision was to have streamers hanging above the guest table, so we created a streamer chandelier. It was so easy to put together for the huge amount of impact that it had.
To create your streamer chandelier, all you need is:
- a hula hoop
- sturdy string or yarn (we used white yarn)
- scissors
- streamers
We hung the hula hoop over the table at the height that we wanted with the string tied at 4 points on the hula hoop to keep it level. Once this was secured, we started dressing it up with the streamers.
We placed the first roll of streamer over the hula hoop and cut it to the length that we wanted, ensuring that it was even on both sides so that it wouldn't fall off. We continued alternating streamer colors and various lengths around the hula hoop. We also layered some of the streamers over top of each other to get rid of any gaps and make it a full looking chandelier.
Once we were finished with the streamers we added a couple pieces of ivy to tie it in with the whole look.
In total it took about 15-20 minutes to create the streamer chandelier.
The final look was so cute. Our guest of honor loved what we pulled together.
To end off the party we had the Riles & Bash Rainbow Butterfly with Colorful Streamers. It added a colorful touch to the party decor before the kids decided it was pinata time!
