Playing the Piñata Game i.e. hitting the piñata and breaking it open to reap the rewards is not only a fun activity for the kids but it also gets them their Halloween candy.

The great thing about this Trick or Treating alternative is that you can easily control how much candy the kids get (for example, once the piñata breaks open everyone gets to grab 20 pieces of candy).  Plus, you can buy the candy that your kids really like so it's a win win for everyone.

Piñatas can be played indoors or out as long as you have enough space for a hitter to bash the piñata.  Here are some expert tips on

How to Play the Piñata Party Game.

To end off your night: Watch a Halloween Movie

End off Halloween night by watching a Halloween themed movie.

Now, just because it's Halloween doesn't mean it has to be a scary one for the little kiddos.

Some of our favorite movies for younger kids include Coco, The Nightmare before Christmas, Coraline, Hotel Transylvania, Frankenweenie or It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.

If your kids are a little older, there are some great Halloween classics to watch like Beetlejuice, Ghostbusters, Hocus Pocus or The Addams Family.

Get some Halloween treats, caramel popcorn, and cozy up with the family to end off your Halloween night.

I know I already left one comment, but I forgot. . . What did you use to make this website? I like the layout!

Annabel Rose

I love these ideas! My only suggestion is you insert links to things such as the games pictured or websites to find the supplies. Other than that I LOVE these ideas and I know I’ll use them and have fun!!!
